
Her television career began as a guest commentator for Court TV and was then offered a position on the Fox News program The O'Reilly Factor. She appeared in the show's "Is Legal?" segments, where she often debated with Bill O'Reilly (and Megyn) Kelly. In September 2007 CNN President Jon Klein brought Hostin on board as the legal analyst for the morning show that is its flagship American Morning. Hostin first began appearing frequently on ABC's morning talk show The View in 2014. [12] In 2014, she also appeared as competing in the Mother's Day edition on Food Network's Chopped. Although she was eliminated in the final round of the competition however, she was back to compete in the Amateurs Redemption episode the following year, but did not win. In 2015, Hostin participated in a TEDx Talk titled A Possibility Model which explored the effects of an early trauma. [14] Hostin was appointed a Senior Legal Correspondent with ABC News and an analyst in March of 2016. In addition, she was made the permanent host of The View beginning the show's 20th season in September. In 2017 Hostin was a guest in the comedy film Girls Trip.
